    PROPboards in 2010

In just two months we've attracted almost 250 members, an important milestone as every new community needs a critical mass of members to generate meaningful discussion. Thanks to everyone who's already contributed to the forums or the chat room.

It's also the start of a new year and an appropriate time to ask members what they'd like to see on PROPboards in 2010. Feel free to post your suggestions and feedback, and any likes or dislikes about the current site. I'll do my best to answer any questions or get back to you if I don't have the answers right now.

I'd also like members to let me know how they feel about the website dark/light styles (not the chatroom). At the end of the day, usability and readability of the site should be paramount. I'm wondering whether to ditch the two style and instead install the new version of the forum software, that you can preview here:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/

Basically if we did that, the site would look just like this link above, but all the content etc will be copied across.

Finally there's a new version of the chat software that's coming out shortly, and the one we currently use has just been upgraded to support this new version of the forum above.

I'm interested to hear your comments, and find out how popular retaining the dark style we have now is.

As an experiment I'm switching to the light style, just to give folks a taster of what they might be missing.

I think this style is easier to read, even if it less pretty...

    I think so too...

I've also re-jigged the boards, there are now less as the level of activity on the site didn't warrant so many.

We'll get the file upload working, but the clear history option isn't available in the current version of the software I'm afraid. Hoping that the new version out next month has something like this.
