    Re: A journal...

Today was another day when I was focussing on main account - I'm going to have to start doing the same trades with them more - and so opportunities were limited. Nevertheless it'll have made about 250ish, but on around 50 round turns (there was an abortive attempt to sell dec bor in the morning, luckily net scratched). Will post correct numbers tomorrow.

nope - nothing to report really. Didn't trade it yesterday for obvious reasons (did **** all myself in fact) and today I've been on sim with my trainees letting them experience alien markets, particularly dax and ftse. Don't want to jinx it but if I trade it tomorrow would have thought it'll break through then. I need to do more actual trading in conjunction
    with my own I think.

Great idea for a journal and will be interesting to see how the money management pans out. The concept seems sound and vibes with the percent risk model. One question though - why not just use the percent risk model - and a max percentage loss per day which you are comfortable with?

Will definitely be keen to see how it progresses though. Also, how are you picking the trades?

Ok, so an update. Twas going swimmingly (approaching the 40k barrier) until I was told to put a coffee trade in it for politicial reasons... that dropped about 25k, and meanwhile I wasn't trading that account. So currently building back up - although I am clipping 30 lots until it's back up to 30k as otherwise would be faffing around forever! Yesterday was first day of trading it again properly, made 30 sterling ticks and it also managed to buy 1 lot of bor front month at 345, which obviously it's still keeping.

(Oh and in the week between closing the coffee I thought I might experiment with a "long term trade"... not sure how much that made but it was a 15 lot and I think it took 2 ticks after being about 10 offside, wasn't watching it)

Well that account is now officially an "experimental" account, which I've been told to experiment with and do whatever I like. I suppose I could record it as a journal but I think it's probably best not to. I will keep folk up to date in the chat room though, if anyone asks. Some stuff I do is confidential, this account isn't, but maybe some specific trade I do on it will be so a journal format ain't gonna work.

FWIW the first "experiment" was to buy SUZ spread after rate announcement on Thursday, filled at 20. Rationale being someone has a very large short there at 19 and most scenarios would see that widening a bit in my view. Was buggering off to a stag do on the Friday but I think it settled 21 so that's a good sign.

Well, that was actually the second experiment. The first experiment was to sell myself 1 lot to check I had priority order on the front month of swissy, which I did. Came in useful late that afternoon and got a full fill, which so far as I can see will be free money on monday. Although probably a 1-1.3 tick loss for that account
